Wallenford® Coffee Company has historically been the largest cultivator of Jamaica Blue Mountain® on the island. The estate owns approx 5,000 acres of Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee land & spanning two parishes within the Blue Mountains namely St.Andrew & Portland.
It also owns pulping factories within both regions which carry out the first stage of coffee processing. The beans are then transported to their Tarentum Drying & Finishing Works Plant where the beans are dried, hulled, graded, sorted, handpicked & packaged.
Wallenford® prides itself on its farming & production practices. They work closely with farmers & provide support for their farms & the surrounding communities. Wallenford® provide infrastructure as well as help the farmers cultivate a crop that is profitable for them & can support their families.
They also adopt schools in the Coffee growing areas & have provided everything from new kitchens, to internet, to computers & tablets. The result has been constant improvement in the quality & taste of the coffee that they produce & a strong relationship between Wallenford® & the coffee communities of Jamaica.
