Martha Calderon has her own coffee plantation: Finca Montehuaico, which is located in the Loja Region of Ecuador. This region is known for its specialty coffee production due to the perfect conditions in terms of temperature and soil. The plantation has a total of 13 hectares, of which 5 hectares are used for coffee cultivation with approximately 3000 coffee plants per hectare.

The coffee is harvested when fully ripe, depulped on the same day and then directly honey processed. Drying takes an average of 21-30 days, during which the coffee is frequently rolled each day to ensure the entire lot dries evenly.
