Our FIRST EVER artist edition coffee!
As an independent, art-loving and slightly quirky Cardiff-based coffee shop, we're packed with creatives on a daily basis (and we have several on our staff as well).
We know first hand that visibility is EVERYTHING for upcoming artists so we decided to team up with some of our favourite local art-makers to celebrate and highlight their incredible work.
And we begin with none other than bumpf, Quantum's almost residential artist!
Here's what bumpf had to say:
Hello, my name is bumpf and I am a self-proclaimed ‘bad artist’.
This title doesn’t come from a place of self-deprecation but liberation, as my perfectionism used to be the biggest hurdle that prevented me from ever picking up a pencil.
By acknowledging that perfection was an unattainable pursuit, it allowed me to actually embrace my strange, carefree art style and in turn it helped me to build confidence and find satisfaction within my art.
I’ve always loved doodling, I think it's an incredibly unbiased and natural way of letting your brain freely create without judgment.
The unrestrained freedom and quirkiness of this illustration perfectly complements this wicked blend of coffee made by the lovely people at Quantum!

Tobacco, pepper and chocolate. A hint of acidity which then becomes smooth and strong.
