Ethiopia - Yirgacheffe, Bedesa Community Lot

£14.50
Type: Coffee

Grown by smallholder farmers in Bedesa - Gedeb, Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia, this naturally processed coffee showcases the character of one of the world's most celebrated coffee regions.

After harvest, the cherries are purchased locally and processed at a 2-hectare dry coffee processing site managed by supplier Abera Teshome.

The cherries are carefully sorted and dried on traditional African raised beds for 12–15 days. The coffee is composed of indigenous heirloom varieties and is processed naturally, without any extra fermentation step, creating a vibrant, expressive cup that reflects both the land and the people behind it.

This lot has been sourced through Ephtah Coffee. Although the lot is not certified under any formal sustainability schemes, Ephtah Coffee’s commitment to ethical sourcing and community development is deeply embedded in their operations. The company works closely with producers, offering agronomic training, post-harvest support, and price risk management.
