Asian coffees originating from countries such as India (the famous Monsoon Malabar coffee), Nepal and Vietnam are generally heavy with musty notes reflecting the climate.
Vietnamese coffee however is mostly Robusta and Vietnam is the key and largest exporter for Robusta coffee beans. Indonesian coffees include mainly coffees from Sumatra, Sulawesi and Java and are the most popular.
However, Thailand and Papua New Guinea have some incredible coffee with low or balanced acidity and fruity notes. Its very interesting to note that Australia also produces Arabica coffee. The types grown are Bourbon and Typica.
